MTB TRAIL BUILDING & OUR STORY BEHIND
While I was in Switzerland as part of Himalayan Enduro Team 2024 for Swiss Enduro Series & Mondraker Enduro Team Event, I met amazing local MTB riders who became great friends, big thanks goes to Dany Gehrig, Flavio Marfurt, Soren Rickards & Gaelle, Tom Oehler, Silvan & Nick I got opportunities to ride absolutely sick mountain biking trails with them there as well as got chance to have trail building course and took part in biking trail building with Vast. I’m so grateful to Philipp & Severin of Vast Trail Team, Valentin & Fabrizius of Bellwald Bike Park for an amazing time and unforgettable experience! This experience left me with so many great memories, so much knowledge and inspiration to build mountain biking trail back home in Nepal.

My home town – Kathmandu is surrounded by beautiful hills which are perfect gift of Mother Nature for mountain biking in very close proximity to the city….
it feels important to motivate younger generation by showing that we can have so much fun and enjoy natural trails with so many benefits and that concrete roads and stairs are not always and not everywhere are the best choices.
With the support of community and local authorities together with a Team of Biking Friends and Locals we started working on the Nagarjun biking trail in January 2025. That were great few months of hard work, team spirit, challenges on the way and clear vision of why we are doing it…which never gave a chance to give up this project.
It was an amazing feeling to ride the trail, to share it with biking friends and to see it alive with many riders coming shredding it! We got an idea to organize Enduro Competition on this newly developed trails and to see even more riders enjoying it. And that was the start of Nagarjun Open Enduro Series.
NAGARJUN TRAILS & NAGARJUN OPEN ENDURO
In May 2025 the 1st biking event took place there: Nagarjun Open Enduro. Great experience to be behind the scenes of the race organizing together with a Team of Riding Friends. Hard work paid off, we learnt a lot, enjoyed seeing the event vibe & success when so many local as well as international riders wanted to take part in it. It was a great honor to have MTB legend Kilian Bron as a chief guest at the event sharing this special moment with us!

NAGARJUN TRAILS:
Nagarjun trails nested inside Nagarjun National Park on the eastern rim of Kathmandu Valley.
Nagarjun Enduro Trip starts from Kathmandu & ends in Kathmandu with a shuttle rides. Experience riding trails which we love to ride ourselves. Be part of the vibe and local riding community. By saying be part of it – we mean it! 10% of each Kathmandu Enduro tour profit goes to trails building projects (maintenance and development).

Riding level: Intermediate
Duration: 3 – 4 hours total

Hattiban Enduro - Nageshwori Trails
Hattiban Trails
Enduro on a beautiful pine forest hill on southern side of Kathmandu Valley.
Hattiban was the place of the 1st Enduro Championship and with few newly developed Enduro Trails its a fun riding option close to Kathmandu.
Trip starts with shuttle ride from Kathmandu to Hattiban and ends with shuttle ride back to Kathmandu
Riding style: Enduro
Riding level: Beginners + and above
Duration: 3 – 4 hours total (trip duration can be adjusted based on trails and interest)

Classic Rides in Kathmandu Valley
Nagarkot , Shivapuri, Helipad
NAGARKOT:
Nagarkot (2175 m/ 7136 ft) – hill station on the eastern rim of Kathmandu Valley, a great place to see stunning panoramic Himalayan views on a clear day, to enjoy amazing sunsets & sunrises and for some great enduro riding as well!
Nagarkot offers trails suitable for riders with different levels of experience to have riding fun.
The trip involves longer shuttles both ways (1 hour + shuttle ride from Kathmandu to Nagarkot and same back) via beautiful Bhaktapur. You can combine your trip with visit to Bhaktapur Durbar Square – UNESCO world heritage site, to enjoy its stunning cultural & historical heritage.
Riding style: Enduro
Riding Level: beginners + / intermediate
Duration: 5-6 hours total (trip duration can be adjusted based on trails you wanna ride and interest)
SHIVAPURI RIDE:
Riding through beautiful dense forest inside Shivapuri National Park on the northern side of Kathmandu. Nice trails, beautiful nature and if you are lucky you can encounter with some wildlife inhabitants of the National Park. Great way to spend your time riding in close proximity to the city.
This trip can be done with short shuttle to the National Park or you can pedal all the way. There are different options of starting and ending points, duration and places to visit depending on your time and interest. Please get in touch with us for details and trip planning.

Duration: 4 – 5 hours total (trip duration can be adjusted based on your time and interests)
HELIPAD:
This legendary Enduro Trail offers you some technical riding flow and good views of Kathmandu Valley from the ridge. Short and thrill filled biking trip close to Kathmandu can be combined with visit to Kopan Monastery & Bouddhanath Stupa.
Riding style: Enduro
Riding Level: Intermediate & above
Duration: 2 – 3 hours total
